The Award
DetailsIn 2021, in her final year of fashion design at NCAD, Stephanie was named the NCAD Designer to Watch at Brown Thomas CREATE, the store's yearly showcase of new Irish design. Fashion Director Shelly Corkery chose her for the award, which came with a bursary and mentoring from the Brown Thomas team.
Her graduate collection, Easing Restrictions, looked at how the pandemic had changed the way we dress. It was her first collection, and it went on show on Level 2 of Brown Thomas on Grafton Street, in the middle of Dublin.
This happened before Fini Fini had a name. For Stephanie, it showed her the work was worth carrying on with, and the label grew out of that.
