Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we're asked most, from how pre-orders work to caring for linen.

For delivery and the full returns policy, see Shipping & Returns.

Pre-orders

What does pre-order mean?

Every piece on the site is made to order. You pay in full when you order, and your piece is cut and sewn as part of a small run, then sent to you. Nothing is made to sit in a warehouse, so nothing ends up in a sale.

How long will my order take?

Your order is dispatched within 8 weeks of ordering, often sooner. The expected dispatch window is shown on each product page and in your order confirmation. Delivery time is then added on top: see Shipping & Returns.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes. You can cancel any time before production starts for a full refund: write to us with your order number. Once your piece is in production it can't be cancelled, but you can still return it within 14 days of delivery.

Can I change my size or colour after ordering?

Write to us as soon as you can. If production hasn't started and your new choice is still available in the run, we'll change it for you.

Will a sold-out piece come back?

Each piece is made in a limited run, and when a size is gone, it's gone. Some shapes return in a new fabric or colour in later collections. Join the list to hear first.

Delivery

Where do you ship to?

Ireland, the United Kingdom and the European Union. We don't ship further afield just yet.

How much is delivery?

The delivery cost for every order is shown at checkout before you pay. Full delivery details are on Shipping & Returns.

How will I know my order has shipped?

We'll email you a tracking link on the day your order leaves the studio.

Will I pay customs charges?

Not within Ireland or the EU. Orders to the UK may be charged import VAT, duties or a carrier handling fee, set by UK customs and paid by the recipient on delivery.

Returns

Can I return a pre-order piece?

Yes. Let us know within 14 days of delivery, then send it back within a further 14 days, unworn and unwashed with the swing tags attached. Return postage is paid by you.

How do I start a return?

Write to the studio with your order number, the piece you're returning and why. We'll reply with the return address and next steps.

Can I exchange for a different size?

Exchanges depend on what's left in the run, as every piece is made to order. Write to us before sending anything back and we'll check whether your size is available. If it isn't, you can return your piece for a refund.

When will I get my refund?

Within 10 working days of your return reaching the studio, to your original payment method.

What if my piece arrives faulty?

Write to us as soon as you can with your order number and a photo. We'll arrange a repair, replacement or full refund, and cover the postage.

Sizing and Fit

How do I find my size?

Every piece is cut in three size bands, XS/S, S/M and L/XL, each covering two UK sizes. The Size Guide has body measurements for each band, and each product page explains how the piece is meant to fit.

I'm between sizes. Which should I choose?

Go by the measurement that matters most for the piece: bust for shirts and tops, waist and hips for skirts. If you're still unsure, write to us and we'll help you choose.

Fabric and Care

What are your pieces made from?

We work with natural fabrics such as linen and cotton poplin. The fabric for each piece is listed on its product page.

How do I care for linen?

Wash on a cool, gentle cycle or by hand, and dry on a line rather than in a tumble dryer. Iron while slightly damp. Linen softens with every wash. Always follow the care label on your piece.

How do I care for cotton poplin?

Wash cool with similar colours, reshape while damp and hang to dry. Iron on a medium heat. Always follow the care label on your piece.

Orders and Payment

How can I pay?

We accept major credit and debit cards, along with the express payment options shown at checkout. All prices are in euro.

Do you have a shop I can visit?

Not yet. Fini Fini is online only for now, and every piece is designed in our studio in Dublin.

Do you work with stockists?

Yes. For wholesale enquiries, visit our Wholesale page or write to us choosing Wholesale as your topic.
